Tottenham Hotspur are in Russia to take on Anzhi Makhachkala in their Europa League Group K qualifier on Thursday.
Spurs opened up with a comfortable 3-0 win over Tromso two weeks ago so can take a huge step towards qualification to the knockout stages with another win tomorrow evening.
Boss Andre Villas-Boas is expected to name a stronger than usual starting eleven although he has decided to rest Paulinho and Jan Vertonghen, with the duo left back in north London to recuperate ahead of Sunday’s clash with West Ham.
That leaves the door open for Sandro to come in to the midfield alongside Mousa Dembele while Lewis Holtby is expected to be given a chance to impress with Christian Eriksen likely to be among the subs.
Jermain Defoe hit a double against Tromso and should start ahead of Roberto Soldado while summer signings Nacer Chadli and Erik Lamela could play on the wings.
The big decision for AVB is who to play in defence and with Younes Kaboul still not 100% fit it looks like Vlad Chiriches could start alongside Michael Dawson in the middle, while Kyle Naughton is almost certain to get a run-out.
Here is the starting eleven I think will take to the field.
What do you think of the team? What would be your starting eleven?
