Swedish starlet Valmir Berisha claims that he has turned down the chance to have a trial at Premier League giants Arsenal and Manchester United, according to the Daily Star.

The 17-year-old has emerged as one of the most highly-rated young talents in Sweden after breaking into the Halmstad first team this season, and he’s already been linked with the likes of Liverpool, Tottenham, Ajax and Roma.

The youngster has now claimed that Inter Milan, Juventus, Real Madrid, Sevilla and Villarreal have all joined the race for his signature, but it’s Real Madrid that he holds close to his heart – calling the Spanish giants “the club of my dreams”.

However, while the striker would love to secure a move to the Bernabeu one day, he feels a switch to England may be best for him at this stage of his career, although curiously, he claims he’s turned down the chance to have a trial at Arsenal and Manchester United.

“It feels like the big clubs are moving,”

“Inter Milan, Juventus, Real Madrid, Sevilla and Villarreal have indicated that they are interested.

“It is terrific. Real Madrid is my favourite since I was a child, they are the favourite club for the entire family but it is only an interest and I don’t know if they want me to come on a trial.

“What’s most important is the football education, I believe England would be the best option,” he said.

“But I have rejected other clubs who have invited me for trials. For example, Arsenal and Manchester United. It is Real Madrid now, the club of my dreams.

“I am keen to go there, but I think I will turn it down, unfortunately. I do not know, maybe I will go there anyway.” Berisha is quoted as saying by the Star

Berisha burst onto the scene after scoring a superb hat-trick against Argentina at the recent Under-17’s World Cup and ended as the tournaments top scorer with seven goals.

It seems he’s going to have his pick of clubs to join when he does leave Halmstad with several Premier League clubs jostling for his signature.
