Brazilian Defender Confirms Man Utd Interest
Bayern Munich defender Dante has revealed that Manchester United are interested in signing him and claims his future will be decided by the end of January.

Bayern Munich defender Dante has revealed this afternoon that Manchester United are interested in signing him and claims his future will be decided by the end of January, according to the Metro.
This news broke earlier this afternoon when quotes from Dante emerged on Twitter after the centre-back apparently spoke with Fox Sport Brazil and hinted he could be heading for Old Trafford this month.
When quizzed about whether he had agreed a deal to join the champions, the 30-year-old did little to play-down the speculation and after thanking United for their interest, he surprisingly said his future will be sorted before the end of the month.
‘I’m still not (Manchester United player). I continue at Bayern, and I thank Manchester United for their interest. It [my future] will all be sorted by the end of the month.’ Dante is quoted as telling Fox Sport Brazil by the Metro.
Now, if there was no chance of him leaving Bayern for United, then surely there would be nothing to resolve where his future is concerned? The fact he says his future will be ‘sorted’ by the end of the month suggests there is some doubt over whether he’ll be staying or going.
However, the Metro claim the Brazilian international is in talks with Munich over a contract extension so perhaps the defender has ‘leaked’ United’s interest to try and force the German champions hand and persuade them to meet his demands?
Dante has been a vital part of Munich’s recent success so it would certainly be a huge shock if he was allowed to leave the treble winners. But if he’s stalling on a contract then perhaps Bayern could decide to cash in now before his value drops any lower.
He would be a superb addition for United if they did manage to lure him to Old Trafford and he would give the club a massive boost during what’s been a difficult time for the Manchester giants. We’ll just have to see how this one develops over the coming days…
