[Player Ratings] Man Utd 3-2 Arsenal: Walcott & Ramsey Disappoint For Gunners
Marcus Rashford capped-off a dream four days after scoring twice to secure Manchester United a 3-2 victory over Arsenal at Old Trafford. Here are my ratings:
Arsenal blew their chance to beat an under-strength Manchester United side and keep pace at the top of the table after losing 3-2 at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.
Here are Gooner Mac’s player ratings from the game:
Cech 6/10 | Made a couple of routine saves and could do little about any of the goals.
Bellerin 6.5/10 | Wasn’t as influential going forward as he would have liked but was solid enough at the back.
Gabriel 4/10 | Made a hash of his attempted clearance which led to the first goal and failed to mark Rashford for his second. All over the place.
Koscielny 6/10 | Unfortunate to see Herrera’s shot deflect off him and past Cech for the eventual winner.
Monreal 6/10 | Missed a glorious chance to give Arsenal an early lead but was fairly solid defensively.
Coquelin 6.5/10 | Made a superb block to deny Schneiderlin’s goal-bound effort in the second half but still looks a little short of his best.
Ramsey 4/10 | Another disappointing performance. His passing was poor and he made no impact in the final third. Lucky not to be sent off for a push on Herrera.
Ozil 7.5/10 | Another assist for Welbeck’s header and got us back in the game with the second goal.
Alexis 5/10 | His erratic form continues. Sanchez did at least try to get in the game but his confidence seems low and nothing came off for the Chilean.
Walcott 4/10 | Totally anonymous. Touched the ball five times and his only contribution was giving it away in the build up to United’s opener.
Welbeck 7/10 | His first league start in almost a year and capped it off with a neat headed goal against his former club.

So another shocking performance at Old Trafford against a very weak United team. It leaves us sitting third in the table, three points off Tottenham and five adrift of Leicester. The title isn’t over just yet, but unfortunately this team doesn’t look like it’s got what it takes to drag themselves back in to the mix.
