Become A Writer

Would you like to become a writer for Football-Talk? Just read the information below and if you’re interested and feel you have what it takes then email us at [email protected], stating what role you would like to be considered for and what areas you want to write about.

All positions are home-based, unpaid, voluntary roles ideally suited to aspiring sports journalists who want to gain experience in the field and build a portfolio of published work. Alternatively, you may be a football fanatic and want a chance to have your voice heard and share your opinions within a football community website.

The roles are not exclusive and you can cover a mixture of clubs and topics if you want. During the summer, as there are no premier league matches being played, we concentrate our efforts on transfer and contract news, as well as general interest pieces.

Positions available:

Club Writer

A club writer writes news for one or more of the six clubs we cover; Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man Utd, Man City and Tottenham. Areas covered include match previews, match reports, player ratings, injury, transfer and contract news as well as general interest pieces. A club writer can be responsible for one or more of these areas. A club writer would be expected to write at least 2-3 articles per week, but has the freedom to write as often as they want, the more the better.

Features/Guest Writer

Feature or guest writers will write regular or one-off articles about topics of their choosing, with all articles relating to at least one of the six clubs we cover: Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man Utd, Man City and Tottenham. The articles could be about a variety of topics and you can write whenever you want, every day or once a month, it’s up to you but of course the more the better. Some feature writers may agree to write a regular column or ‘feature’ such as ‘Team of the Week’ that would be published every Monday.
