The transfer window is closed but managers are working hard on their plans for the summer so we’ll bring you all the latest gossip from around the globe. Today, Arsenal and Tottenham are handed a boost in their pursuit of Malcom….

Arsenal and Tottenham have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Malcom after Bayern Munich cooled their interest in the Bordeaux attacker, according to reports in Germany via the Mirror.

Malcom has emerged as one of the hottest properties in Europe since joining Bordeaux two years ago and he’s provided eight goals and seven assists in his 28 appearances in all competitions so far this season.

The Brazilian U23 international has caught the attention of clubs here in the Premier League with the Daily Mail reporting last month that Arsenal and Tottenham are showing a keen interest in the £45m-rated winger.

The north London duo are expected to renew their pursuits after failing to persuade Bordeaux to cash-in during the January window but it looked like they’d face stiff competition from Bayern Munich.

However, the Mirror are citing a report from Sport Bild that claims the Bundesliga champions have now cooled their interest in signing Malcom which has left Arsenal and Spurs in the clear to fight over his signature.

Arsene Wenger is under pressure to rebuild his squad following a disappointing campaign and Malcom would provide some much-needed width that’s been lacking since Theo Walcott and Alexis Sanchez left the club in January.

Mauricio Pochettino is also expected to further strengthen his talented young squad this summer and Malcom has admitted he’s keen to test himself in the Premier League next season.

We’ll have to wait and see how things progress over the coming months but Malcom looks to have a huge future ahead of him so I think he’d be an excellent signing for either Arsenal or Tottenham.
