Arsenal Planning £45m Summer Spending Spree

By on April 15, 2011

Arsenal are apparently looking to bolster their squad with a host of new names, and have apparently be given a £45 million war-chest. So will it happen in the summer?

Well, according to Caughtoffside, Arsenal are reportedly going to spend big in the summer (for once). Apparently, Stan Kroenke is another ‘Abramovic’ and is seemingly intent on spending money to improve the Arsenal squad for the better.

Kroenke has a stake of over 60% in Arsenal, but most fans are still a bit skeptical over his takeover and the actual funding that will be provided by him, but the signs look positive as he has made every indication of spending big on talent in the summer, whilst expanding their illustrious academy at the same time.

There are three targets high in priority in Arsene Wenger’s shopping list for the coming summer transfer window, them being goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, Jan Vertonghen and Real Madrid man Karim Benzema. Will they happen in the summer? We’ll just have to wait and see, but it looks promising for the Gunners fans.

Arsenal needs to find another Tony A, Patrick V, Dennis B, T Henry, plus a class goal keeper. Now these players are available, but Arsene must not wait until the eleventh hour hoping on a bargin. The benefit of having such players alongside Szczesny, Cesc, Wilshire, Walcott, RvP, the Verm, Ramsey, Sagna, Gibbs and a few others will be enormous.

Even the youngsters and reserves would not have to look eslewhere to find inspiration and examples.

    Urgent actions:
    1) The balance in the current squad is not correct. Major pruning needs to be done. 2) Changes has to be made to the coaching programme. 3) Players in the reserves have to be prepared to step up at any moment in case of a few injuries. They must be challenging for first team places, from day one. 4) The role of the deputy manager has to be defined. 5) The role of the deputy manager has to be made clearer. They must be more pro-active.

Get rid of Arsene Wenger and then spend. As long as he is around, Stan can keep his money in the bank.

Sorry, but where is the news? this is just simple specualtion or in other words, made up rubbish.

Can anyone please tell me how Kroenke is seen as another Abramovic?? When has he made any form of hint that he will be spending big this summer?

And to top it off, we dont need another keeper.

Caughtoffside are always the funniest footie site as they just make stuff up.

Expect caughtoffside to run stories in the near future about Phillipe Melo coming to Arsenal in exchange for Denilson, Hazard, Mertesacker, and Reina all on the way, plus Oxlade Chamberlain.

They’ll probably run something about Arshavin on his way to Chelsea.

Good way to make a living, don’t do any acutual research just make stuff up that seems plausible.

With wenger in charge, none of these signings will happen. We don’t need a top class keeper with Szczesny and we won’t buy another centre back unless someone leaves which I can’t see at all. I can see denilson and Bendtner leaving and that’s it so another midfielder and forward of better quality to come in. They will be unknowns though as thats what wenger does.

The sale of cesc (if he goes) should be put into the equation…so that could be 90 million couldnt it.
Wenger wont want 90 million as he will find hinself under pressure to buy quality with big money….a combination he has so far shyed away from. Whilst he is getting freebies and cheapos from the french league he cant lose face as if they fail he will claim they cost peanuts, and if they succeed then hes a genius.
Wenger should go and make way for a manager that will spend wisely on quality players.

I have already listed what we have to find. What we next have to do is list all the players that will be available in each position and their price tags / Strengths / Weaknesses / achievements / skills / cordination / height / ability on the ball /ability reading the game/ progress in recent years / time spent in treatment table / team player/ individuality a process of illimination / value for money.

Finally ask: What value would this individual make to the current squad.

    Total boll**ks.

Caught Offside are THE worst for football stories.

The things they come out with is outrageous and almost offensive in the way they just spew out complete rubbish.

Kroenke is actually THE OPPOSITE of Abramovich and I’ll be suprised if we even make ONE recognised world class signing.

You gotta be mental to use “caught offside” as a source. “caught offside” is rubbish and the players that they link to Arsenal will not join. So from that respect, at least we know who to rule out.
