By on September 12, 2011

Fernando Llorente admits he has no interest in leaving Madrid and moving to Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

The Atletico Madrid striker claims there was interest from Tottenham this summer but concedes he has no interest in a move to England and remains fully committed to Madrid.

“I know there was interest from Tottenham, but never at any moment did I want to leave Athletic,” he said, according to AS.

The 26-year-old, who netted 19 goals in all competitions last season, said he is optimistic regarding his contract extension.

“I think things are going well, but right now I am not in a hurry,” Llorente added.

“What concerns me the most now is to get in shape and that we keep winning.

“I have no idea how negotiations are going, those are things my brother handles and there will be time to answer these questions.”

Reports this summer suggested Tottenham had made an enquiry for the Spanish striker which was immediately dismissed by the club.

Do you actually follow football? You only got the Athletico part right. You should give your weeks wages back to your boss for telling lies.

Immediately dismissed. Ha Ha. Why would he want to go to a club who has a cock on their t-shirt?
