Manchester United have finally announced they have agreed a deal to sign Borusia Dortmund midfielder Shiniji Kagawa.
Kagawa has only one year left on his current contract and made it clear he wouldn’t be signing an extension with the Bundesliga champions, and after weeks of speculation he is set to move to Old Trafford this summer.
Personal terms have already been agreed with the player so all that remains for the transfer to be completed is a medical and obtaining a work permit. Here is what United announced on ManUtd.com:
Manchester United is delighted to announce that it has agreed terms with both Borussia Dortmund and Shinji Kagawa for his transfer to the Club.
The deal is subject only to the player medical and obtaining a UK work permit. These conditions are anticipated to be completed by the end of June.
Here is a video of what United fans can expect from Kagawa.
