Porto claim the future of striker Hulk will be resolved on Wednesday with Chelsea and Tottenham among the clubs trying to sign him, according to the Metro.
The Brazilian hitman has attracted interest from all over Europe this summer after another impressive season in Portugal. Porto claim they have now received three firm birds for the 26-year-old with two of the interested parties coming from England, believed to be Chelsea and Tottenham, along with Russian side Zenit St Peterburg.
Porto’s media advisor, Ahaz Felleger, confirmed the bids but also didn’t rule out the possibility of Hulk remaining with Porto. Speaking on Monday evening, Felleger is quoted by the Metro as saying:
‘Until Tuesday, or maximum Wednesday there will be a solution.
‘There are three proposals from abroad – two English clubs and Zenit – there are talks with the player and with Porto.
‘Staying in Porto is also a real possibility, he is very satisfied and there is no problem.’
Hulk has scored 54 goals in just 98 appearances for Porto since moving from Tokyo Verdy in 2008 but has been pressing for a move away this summer.
It appears his future will now be resolved within the next 24 hours, and while a move to the Premier League is considered the players priority, reports claim Zenit have had a £40m bid accepted and have now been given permission to speak with the striker.
If neither Chelsea or Tottenham match that offer, it would be down to Hulk to reject a move to Russia and push for a move to England if we’re to see him plying his trade in the Premier League next season.
