Chelsea target Hulk playing for Porto last season

Striker Hulk wants to move to Chelsea this summer but has asked for negotiations with Zenit St Petersburg to be delayed until after the conclusion of the Confederations Cup, according to the Daily Mail.

Jose Mourinho returned to Stamford Bridge two weeks ago and it appears he’s keen to re-shape his strike-force with the report claiming the Portuguese coach wants to make Hulk his second signing after agreeing a deal to sign Germany forward Andre Schurrle.

The 26-year-old his currently away on international duty with Brazil for the Confederations Cup and the Mail suggest he is keen on making the move to west London this summer and has asked his current club Zenit St Petersburg to accept the Blues £34.9m offer.

However, the newspaper claims the hitman has requested that negotiations be delayed until after the Confederations Cup has finished so he can concentrate on playing for his country, but that could put the move in jeopardy if Mourinho wants to get his business done early with the ‘Special One’ also believed to be eyeing Edinson Cavani and Wayne Rooney.

Hulk moved to Zenit from Porto in a big-money move last September but has struggled to settle in Russia and seems destined to move on again this summer. But will he end up at Chelsea? Only time will tell…
