Pochettino Makes 2 Changes: Predicted Tottenham Starting XI To Face Aston Villa
Tottenham will look to keep their hopes of a top four finish alive when they take on Aston Villa on Saturday afternoon. Here is our predicted line-up
Tottenham Hotspur will look to keep their hopes of a top four finish alive when they take on Aston Villa on Saturday afternoon. Here is the starting eleven I think Mauricio Pochettino will select:
Goalkeeper: Hugo Lloris is yet to return to training after missing last weeks draw at Burnley with a leg injury so it looks as though Michel Vorm will continue in goal.
Defence: Kyle Walker is also struggling to be fit after being forced off at Turf Moor with an ankle injury so Pochettino may be forced to play Vlad Chiriches at right-back with Jan Vertonghen expected to return after missing out last time through illness. Danny Rose should shake off a knock to start at left-back.
Midfield: Spurs were disappointing against Burnley but I don’t see Pochettino making wholesale changes so Ryan Mason and Nabil Bentaleb are likely to continue together in midfield as they’ve forged an excellent partnership this season. The likes of Mousa Dembele and Etienne Capoue remain out-of-favour.
Attack: Harry Kane is certain to keep his place up front despite drawing a blank last weekend while Christian Eriksen is another who’s assured of his place in the team. I think we’ll see Paulinho drop out after a poor showing against Burnley so Andros Townsend may come back in to join Nacer Chadli in attack.
Here’s how I think Spurs will line-up for the game:
What do you think? What team would you select for the game?
