World Class Striker Questions Future Amid Links With Man Utd Move
Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has questioned his future in France amid reported interest from Premier League giants Manchester United
With the summer transfer window in full swing, managers are working hard trying to strengthen their squads ahead of next season so we’ll bring you all the news and gossip. Today, Zlatan Ibrahimovic speaks out on his future…
Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has questioned his future in France amid reported interest from Premier League giants Manchester United, according to Sky Sports News.
Ibrahimovic has been one of the best strikers in world football for several years and his 30 goals and 8 assists in 37 appearances helped Paris Saint-Germain retain the Ligue 1 title last season.
But the Swedish international’s future at the Parc des Paris has been called into question this summer and it’s led to speculation he could finally be heading for the Premier League.
Sky Sports News claim that Manchester United have been strongly linked with a move for the 33-year-old, to the extent that bookmakers were forced to slash their odds on Ibrahimovic making the move to Old Trafford.
The enigmatic hitman was predictably quizzed about the rumours this week and Ibrahimovic refused to commit himself to PSG after simply saying his future is in the hands of his agent, Mino Raiola.
Speaking after scoring during PSG’s 4-2 friendly win over Fiorentina, the striker is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News:
“Should I stay in Paris? My future is in the hands of Mino Raiola,”
Despite his age, Ibrahimovic would still be an excellent signing for United if they could somehow pull it off. Even if they just got one great season out of him he could be the difference between them winning the title and being also-ran’s.
I expect Louis van Gaal to be in the market for another striker after selling Robin van Persie to Fenerbache and passing up the opportunity to sign Radamel Falcao on a permanent basis, and I’m sure Ibrahimovic would be a popular signing among the Old Trafford faithful.
The striker has won titles in Sweden, Holland, Italy, Spain and France but he’s never played in England so surely he’d be tempted to join United in order to complete the set before he retires?

I’d love to see him doing his thing here in the Premier League so hopefully van Gaal can persuade PSG to cash-in this summer as he’d be a great addition to English football.
