World Class Striker Drops Huge Hint Over Manchester United Move
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has hinted he’d like to work with Louis van Gaal again at Manchester United despite the pair enjoying a frosty relationship in the past
With the summer transfer window in full swing, managers are working hard trying to strengthen their squads ahead of next season so we’ll bring you all the news and gossip. Today, Zlatan Ibrahimovic hints at move to Man Utd…
Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has hinted he’d like to work with Louis van Gaal again at Manchester United despite the pair enjoying a frosty relationship in the past, according to the Mirror.
Ibrahimovic has been with PSG for the last three season having joined the club from AC Milan and his 30 goals in 37 appearances helped the French giants retain the Ligue 1 trophy for the third consecutive year last season.
However, his future in Paris has been called into question this summer and it’s led to intense speculation in the newspapers that he could be set for a sensational move to the Premier League.
Sky Sports News claim that Manchester United have been strongly linked with a move for the Swedish international and it’s led to bookmakers slashing their odds on Ibrahimovic making the move to Old Trafford.
When quizzed by reporters last week about a potential move to United, the 33-year-old refused to commit his future to PSG after telling Sky Sports:
“Should I stay in Paris? My future is in the hands of Mino Raiola,”
The enigmatic striker has now fuelled talk of a move to Old Trafford even further after being quoted by the Mirror as saying that despite not getting along with van Gaal following their time together at Ajax, that wouldn’t put him off working with the Dutchman again at United as he’d enjoy the ‘fights’.
“No, that’s not good [his relationship with van Gaal].
“He was a director in Ajax, and the way he is working is not the way I work.”
“At the end, I think he is professional and I am professional.
“Whoever I work with, I never had this kind of problems, because at the end I need to do my job, he needs to do his job.
“And I think a lot of fights would happen [if they worked together at United], but that’s something I like.”
I expect van Gaal to bring in another striker over the coming weeks after selling Robin van Persie to Fenerbache and letting Radamel Falcao leave when his loan finished as Wayne Rooney is going to need some support up front this season.
Several names have been linked with a move to Old Trafford but few have the appeal of Ibrahimovic as despite his age, the Swede is still one of the best strikers in world football and I’m sure he’d be a popular signing among the fan-base if they could pull it off.
Ibrahimovic has won titles in Sweden, Holland, Italy, Spain and France but he’s yet to try his luck in England so I’m sure he’s tempted by the prospect of playing for United before he eventually retires.

We’ll have to wait and see how things develop and PSG are unlikely to let him leave until they find a replacement, but I’d love to see Ibrahimovic come to the Premier League this summer as he’d be a great addition to England football.
