Tottenham continued their pre-season preparations with a disappointing 2-1 defeat to the MLS All Stars in Colorado last night.
Former Real Madrid and AC Milan star Kaka put the MLS side ahead from the spot in the 19th minute after Nacer Chadli was adjudged to have handled in the area.
Harry Kane then missed a glorious chance to level things up as he was denied from point blank range and Spurs were made to pay as former Barcelona striker David Villa went straight up the other end and made it 2-0 in the 22nd minute.
Kane did pull one back before half time as he capatalised on a sloppy pass to surge in on goal and smash the ball home from the edge of the area for 2-1.
However, Spurs couldn’t find the equaliser in the second half and head into their final pre-season game against Real Madrid off the back of a disappointing defeat.
