Tottenham Team News & Predicted Starting XI To Face West Ham
Here is the latest team news and our predicted starting eleven for Tottenham Hotspur ahead of their crunch clash against London rivals West Ham on Sunday
Premier League action returns this weekend as Tottenham Hotspur take on London rivals West Ham at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon.
Mauricio Pochettino has been speaking to the media at his pre-match press conference this afternoon and he’s given TottenhamHotspur.com a team news update.
The Argentinean confirmed that Nabil Bentaleb is unlikely to make the squad this weekend after picking up a fresh ankle injury during Algeria’s game with Tanzania on Tuesday. The midfielder has only recently returned after a lengthy lay-off so this latest injury will come as a real blow to the youngster.
Pochettino told the clubs website:
“I think everyone knows that Nabil got a bad tackle in the first minute of Algeria’s game against Tanzania and he’s not 100%.
We need to be sure. He’ll work hard to get back as soon as possible but it’s difficult for him on Sunday.”
Elsewhere, Erik Lamela serves a one-match suspension after picking up his fifth booking of the season at Arsenal before the international break so summer signing Heung-min Son could come back in to the attack.
Pochettino has no other injury concerns but Nacer Chadli and Alex Pritchard remain sidelined with long-term injuries. Andros Townsend could be back in contention after being axed following a bust-up with a member of the coaching staff but he’s unlikely to make the starting eleven.
Therefore, this is the starting line-up we think Spurs will put out on Sunday:
What do you think? What line-up would you like to see start?
