Chelsea will look to push up the Premier League table when they entertain Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.

The Blues have enjoyed a mini-revival of late and followed-up their 1-0 win over over Norwich City with a solid 0-0 draw away at Tottenham Hotspur last weekend so they’ll be looking to build on those results tomorrow.

However, the defending Premier League champions still languish way down in 14th place in the table so Jose Mourinho will be desperate for all three points to help his side climb up the table and boost their hopes of eventually breaking into the top four.

Bournemouth arrive in West London having ended a run of five consecutive defeats with a 2-2 draw against Swansea before a thrilling 3-3 draw against Everton so they’ll be looking to pick up another positive result in the capital.

The Cherries still remain in the bottom three but victory over Chelsea tomorrow would see them climb above Sunderland and out of the relegation zone if they lose at Arsenal, so Eddie Howe will be hoping to pull off a shock this weekend.

Team news

Chelsea have been boosted by the return of number one goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois after he resumed first team training following three months out with a knee injury.

Mourinho has confirmed the Belgian will be back in the squad tomorrow and I expect him to come straight back in to start with Asmir Begovic dropping back to the bench.

Diego Costa could also return to the starting eleven after being controversially left out against Spurs last weekend but Radamel Falcao remains out with a muscle injury.

Ramires is also still on the sidelines while skipper John Terry once again misses out with an ankle injury.

Bournemouth will be without goalkeeper Artur Boruc after he was ruled out with a groin injury while Adam Federici is out with an ankle problem so Allsop is set to deputise in goal.

Marc Pugh is out with an Achilles injury while Harry Arter is still nursing a hamstring strain.
