Tottenham vs Leicester Preview, Team News, Line-Ups, Betting Tips & Prediction
Tottenham take on Leicester City at White Hart Lane on Wednesday night. Here’s a preview with team news, likely line-up and predicted score for the game
Tottenham will look to cement their place in the top four when they take on Leicester City at White Hart Lane this evening.
Spurs head into the game sitting one point clear of West Ham in fourth spot and with Man Utd a further point adrift in sixth, the North Londoners have a great chance to tighten their grip on the Champions League places with a win over Leicester tonight.
However, the Foxes will be out for revenge as the two sides played-out a thrilling 2-2 draw in the third round of the FA Cup on Sunday with Harry Kane scoring a controversial late penalty to force a replay.
Leicester have been one of this seasons surprise packages with Claudio Ranieri’s men mounting a shock title bid and they would return to the top of the table with a win if Arsenal lose away to Liverpool.
Team news
Tottenham welcome Mousa Dembele back in to the squad after the midfielder recovered from an ankle injury that kept him out of the FA Cup game at the weekend.
The Belgian international could replace Tom Carroll in the middle of the park but Ryan Mason remains out with his own ankle complaint.
Pochettino is set to recall a number of first team regulars with the likes of Hugo Lloris, Kyle Walker, Jan Vertonghen, Dele Alli and Harry Kane among those expected to come back in to the side.
Leicester have been handed a welcome boost with Jamie Vardy returning to training after recovering from injury but it remains to be seen whether the league’s top scorer will be deemed fit enough to start.
Jeff Schlupp is still nursing a hamstring injury so he joins Matty James on the sidelines with the midfielder unlikely to feature due to a knee injury. Demarai Gray could make his Premier League debut after completing his move from Birmingham last week.
Likely Line-Ups
Predicted Score
Tottenham 2-1 Leicester: Spurs were fortunate to escape with a draw on Sunday and no doubt Leicester will be out to avenge that result but it will be a much-changed eleven from the hosts and I can see them edging this one.
