[Tweets & Photos] Man Utd Players Celebrate On Twitter After Beating Stoke
Several players have taken to Twitter to celebrate following Manchester United’s impressive 3-0 win over Stoke. Check out what the boys have had to say here:
Manchester United put in one of their best performances of the season after easing to a 3-0 victory over Stoke City at Old Trafford last night.
The Red Devils got off to the perfect start when Jesse Lingard headed home from close range from a superb cross from Cameron Borthwick-Jackson before Anthony Martial made it 2-0 before half time with a stunning finish following a slick team move.
United wrapped up the three points shortly after the break when Wayne Rooney slotted home at the far post from a Martial cross to make it 3-0 and ease the pressure on the shoulders of manager Louis van Gaal.
The win means United remain fifth in the table and are now just five points off fourth-placed Arsenal after they were held at home to Southampton, so the Old Trafford club are still right in the mix for Champion League qualification.
Several of the players have taken to Twitter after the game to celebrate what was an important win with Martial, Morgan Schneiderlin, Daley Blind, Marouane Fellaini, Antonio Valencia, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Ashley Young all reacting online.
