Man Utd Could Miss Out On 50-Goal Super-Star Despite Personal Terms Being Agreed
Manchester United could yet miss out on the signing of a super-star striker who scored 50 goals last season, despite the player agreeing personal terms.
The opening of the summer transfer window is fast approaching so we’ll bring you all the latest transfer rumours and gossip from around the globe. Today, could Man Utd miss out on Zlatan Ibrahimovic?
Manchester United could yet miss out on the signing of Zlatan Ibrahimovic despite already agreeing personal terms with the Swedish international as the Mirror are reporting that the striker is also in talks with Bayern Munich.
Ibrahimovic’s future has been a hot topic for discussion in recent months after he revealed that he would be leaving Paris Saint-Germain when his contract expires at the end of this month.
United have been widely reported to be the 34-year-old’s next destination with Sky Sports News reporting just yesterday that Ibrahimovic had agreed terms over a one-year deal following a meeting with executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward earlier this month.
The news outlet claimed that United were already making plans for the Swedish super-star to undergo a medical after Euro 2016, so it looked as though Zlatan was finally heading for the Premier League and to Old Trafford.
However, United’s proposed deal could yet be in danger as the Mirror are citing reports coming out of Germany that claim Ibrahimovic’s agent has also been holding talks with Bayern Munich over a potential move to the Allianz Arena.
The newspaper suggests that new Bayern boss Carlo Ancelotti, who worked with Ibrahimovic at PSG, wants to be reunited with the striker this summer amid fears Robert Lewandowski could join Real Madrid.
The Mirror claim that Bayern will do all they can to lure the former AC Milan hitman to the Bundesliga but United are understood to remain confident of winning the race for his signature.
Obviously new United boss Jose Mourinho also worked closely with Ibrahimovic during their time together with Inter Milan so I’m sure the Special One will be doing his best to persuade the striker to join him in England.
Mourinho could certainly do with the Swede’s threat up front as United managed just 49 league goals last year, which is one less than the 50 Ibrahimovic managed in all competitions for PSG.

We’ll have to wait and see how things progress over the coming weeks and nothing will be decided until after Ibrahimovic is finished with his duties at Euro 2016, but if I was a betting man I’d still back the striker joining United this summer and I think he’ll be an excellent addition.
