Arsenal & Spurs Poised To Go Head-To-Head To Sign Bruma
Arsenal and Tottenham are ready to battle it out over the signing of Galatasaray star Bruma with the north Londoners keen to land him next summer.
The best betting websites have started taking bets on the transfer of Bruma with both Arsenal and Spurs the favorites to land the player. He signed three years ago at the age of 21 for Turkish Giants Galatasaray. Things did not start well for the new signing so last season he was sent on loan to Real Sociedad. It was in the Spanish La Liga where Bruma excelled and top clubs started to scout the player with a view to signing him.
The Galatasaray manager Jan Olde Riekerink has been so impressed that he decided to bring the player back during the summer. So far this season he has been impressive with three assists and two goals in his last six matches which has reportedly led to strong interest from north London.
Bruma gained a reputation at a young age of being the next Cristiano Ronaldo. He is also from Portugal and has been a key player for their under-21 national team. It is also believed that Jose Mourinho is a fan and is interested in bringing him to Old Trafford. It is understood that Galatasaray will accept a bid of around 20 million but are trying to renegotiate the player’s terms so they can keep him.
Both Arsenal and Spurs have scouted the player on a number of occasions this season and have been impressed so Arsene Wenger and Mauricio Pochettino are ready to make a big bid for the player – although it remains to be seen if the clubs will go to battle during the January or summer transfer market. A lot will depend on their current league place and injuries. If one club does make a move, though, the other will follow and it will end up in a bidding war along with which team Bruma prefers. The best betting websites have Tottenham as the favorites but you can find odds favoring Arsenal on a number of online bookmakers.
Pochettino’s Tottenham side have closed the gap on Arsenal since his time there as manager. Last season they should have finished above them for the first time in 21 years. They had a poor end to their campaign which cost them the title along with second place and a finish above the Gunners. Instead, Wenger’s side managed to squeeze past them to stay the top team in North London for another year.
The Gunners fans will be scared of Spurs taking over the position of been the top team in North London. They have had it their own way for such a long time and it is a similar situation to what has happened in Manchester. United have been the most dominant force in the Premier League but since the takeover, City has closed the gap and are now the top dog. Tottenham has a brand new stadium on its way which will be bigger than the Emirates and their new training facilities are some of the best in the world.
