Arsenal entertain Bournemouth at the Emirates on Sunday afternoon looking to boost their Premier League title chances with a much-needed win.
Here is the side Gooner Mac thinks Arsene Wenger will select for the game:
Goalkeeper: Petr Cech was once again rested in the Champions League group stages with David Ospina keeping goal during the 2-2 draw with PSG on Wednesday but I expect the Czech star to return this weekend.
Defence: Hector Bellerin continues to miss out with an ankle injury so Carl Jenkinson is favourite to keep his place at right-back despite his questionable performance in midweek.
Nacho Monreal is likely to come back in at left-back with Kieran Gibbs dropping back to the bench but Shkodran Mustafi should once again start alongside Laurent Koscielny in the middle of defence.
Midfield: Santi Cazorla is still not back in contention as he continues to nurse an Achilles injury but I think Granit Xhaka may get a recall after being left out of the starting eleven for the last two matches.
Francis Coquelin has been a real favourite of Wenger’s so far this season but we could see the Frenchman drop out with Aaron Ramsey given another chance to impress in the middle of the park alongside Xhaka.
Attack: Alexis Sanchez was moved out to the wing to accommodate Olivier Giroud up front against PSG but I think we’ll see the Chilean international restored in a more central role this weekend with Giroud dropping back to the bench – despite scoring from the penalty spot on Wednesday night.
Alex Iwobi was partly at fault for the PSG equaliser but I think the youngster was a little unfortunate and feel Wenger will give him a chance to redeem himself on Sunday. Theo Walcott should get a recall on the right wing while Mesut Ozil will be looking to get back to his best after a couple of below-par displays.
Here is how I think we’ll see Arsenal line-up:
