Liverpool take on Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Here is a preview with team news, line-ups, betting tips and predicted score.
Liverpool will be looking to keep the pressure on at the top of the Premier League table when they take on Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The Reds booked their place in the semi finals of the EFL Cup with a routine 2-0 win over Leeds United at Anfield last Tuesday night but thoughts must now turn to league matters tomorrow.
Jurgen Klopp’s men are unbeaten in their last 15 matches in all competitions having not lost since Burnley away back in August and it’s a run that’s seen them challenging for top spot in the Premier League.
However, the Merseysiders dropped four points adrift of leaders Chelsea following their 3-1 win over Manchester City earlier today so Klopp will be desperate to come away with all three points from the South Coast.
But that would be easy as Bournemouth have lost just twice at home this season, although they did get beaten by Sunderland last time out at the Vitality while they also slumped to a 3-1 defeat at Arsenal last weekend so Eddie Howe will be keen to secure a positive result tomorrow.
Team news
Liverpool will make a late decision over the availability of Adam Lallana after he returned to full training last week following a month on the sidelines with a groin injury but the midfielder is expected to be involved.
Roberto Firmino is also pushing for a recall after recovering from a minor calf problem which he sustained last weekend but Daniel Sturridge has once again been ruled out with his own calf injury.
Philippe Coutinho will be a huge miss for the visitors as the Brazilian international has been ruled out for at least five weeks with an ankle injury.
Bournemouth are set to be without Andrew Surman due to a hamstring injury but Jack Wilshere will return after being ineligible to face Arsenal last week.
Goalkeeper Artur Boruc and defender Charlie Daniels will be assessed ahead of the match but Junior Stanislas is expected to be fit.
Likely Line-Ups
Predicted Score
Bournemouth 1-2 Liverpool: The Cherries are a hard working side who play some decent football but Liverpool have really found their groove in recent months. Klopp has found his best eleven and while Coutinho will certainly be missed, I think the Merseysiders will have too much for Bournemouth tomorrow.
