Tottenham vs Hull Preview, Team News, Line-Ups, Betting Tips & Predicted Score
Tottenham take on Hull at White Hart Lane this evening. Here’s a preview with team news, likely line-ups, betting tips and predicted score for the game
Tottenham will be looking to bounce back from last weekend’s disappointment at Man Utd when they entertain Hull City at White Hart Lane this evening.
Spurs slumped to their second defeat of the season after losing 1-0 at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon to leave them sitting fifth in the table and three points adrift of fourth-placed Manchester City.
The loss means Mauricio Pochettino’s side have won just three of their last 13 matches in all competitions so the north Londoners needs to get back to winning ways this evening or they risk falling even further behind in the title race.
Hull arrive in the capital having lost 9 of their last 13 league matches and they threw away two valuable points after drawing 3-3 with Crystal Palace at the weekend to leave them sitting second bottom of the table on just 12 points.
Team news
Tottenham will have to make do without Mousa Dembele after the midfielder was ruled out with a foot injury which he suffered against United so Eric Dier could get a recall in midfield.
Erik Lamela returned to north London following his trip back to Argentina for personal reasons but he also remains on the sides as he’s still working on his fitness after a hip injury.
Vincent Janssen remains out with an ankle injury but Moussa Sissoko could come back in to the side after making an impressive cameo appearance last time out.
Hull have no fresh selection problems so Mike Phelan could go with the same eleven that started against Palace – although Ryan Mason is pushing for a recall against his former side in midfield.
Striker Dieumerci Mbokani serves the final game of a three-match ban while Abel Hernandez, Will Keane, Moses Odubajo and Allan McGregor all remain sidelined with long-term injuries.
Likely Line-Ups
Predicted Score
Tottenham 2-0 Hull: Spurs are yet to really find their groove on a consistent basis yet this season but they still remain in touch at the top end of the table. With many of their rivals facing tricky away games tonight, this is a good opportunity for Tottenham to close the gap on the top four and I’m backing them to secure a relatively comfortable win tonight.
Betting Tips
Spurs are the 2/9 favourites to win the game but here are some other bets I like the look of:
- Both teams to score NO at 11/10 – a £10 bet returns £17.20
- Exact score of 2-0 Spurs at 11/2 – a £10 bet returns £65
- Kane to score first in 2-0 Spurs win at 11/1 – a £10 bet returns £120
