Tottenham vs West Brom Preview, Team News, Line-Ups, Betting Tips & Prediction
Tottenham take on West Brom at White Hart Lane tomorrow. Here is a preview with team news, line-ups, betting tips and predicted score.
Tottenham will be looking to keep the pressure on the top two in the Premier League when they entertain West Bromwich Albion at White Hart Lane on Saturday lunchtime.
Spurs head in to the game after easing in to the fourth round of the FA Cup with a 2-0 win over Aston Villa last weekend which extended their winning streak to six matches in all competitions.
That run saw the North Londoners beat Chelsea last time out in the Premier League to lift Mauricio Pochettino’s men up to third in the table and they can climb to second and to within four points of Chelsea with a win tomorrow.
However, in order for that to happen, Tottenham will have to improve upon a poor recent record at home to West Brom as they’ve not beaten them at the Lane since 2012 with a 1-1 draw last season severely denting the North Londoners title bid.
Tony Pulis’s side were knocked out of the FA Cup by Derby last weekend but they’ve won six of their last ten in the league so Spurs will know not to take them too lightly tomorrow.
Team news
Spurs have no fresh injury concerns to deal with so Erik Lamela remains Pochettino’s only absentee as the attacker continues to work on his fitness in Italy following over two months out with a hip problem.
The Tottenham boss is expected to recall a number of first team regulars with the likes of Hugo Lloris, Kyle Walker, Danny Rose, Jan Vertonghen, Victor Wanyama, Mousa Dembele, Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane all set to return after being rested last weekend.
West Brom will continue to be without Jonny Evans as he remains out with a calf problem while Saido Berahino will not be involved as he’s still not fully fit.
Chris Brunt and Jonathan Leko will be given late fitness tests while Allan Nyom is set to start after he was left out of the Cameroon squad for the Africa Cup of Nations.
Likely Line-Ups
Predicted Score
Tottenham 2-0 West Brom: Spurs were excellent against Chelsea and if they reproduce anything like that kind of form then I think we’ll see a comfortable home win. West Brom are always a hard working side but they’ll be no match for Tottenham’s quality.
