Leicester vs Tottenham Preview, Team News, Line-Ups, Betting Tips & Prediction
Tottenham take on Leicester at the King Power this evening. Here is a preview with team news, line-ups, betting tips and predicted score
Tottenham will look to end the season on a positive note when they take on Leicester City at the King Power Stadium tonight.
Spurs know they will finish second no matter what happens in their final two games but Mauricio Pochettino will still be keen to add to their record points haul which already stands at 80.
That’s ten more than they achieved last season and just 1 short of the total Leicester needed to win the title last year so it would still be a huge sign of improvement if Spurs could hit the 86 point mark.
The Foxes also have very little left to play for as they sit comfortably in 11th place but Craig Shakespeare will be hoping to end the campaign strongly to try and snatch eighth position, which would be a great achievement considering they were flirting with the relegation zone when he took over.
Team News
Spurs have problems at right-back as Kyle Walker has been ruled out with an ankle injury while Kieran Trippier has concussion following a clash of heads against United last weekend.
Moussa Dembele won’t be risked from the start as the Belgian international is still carrying a foot problem while Erik Lamela, Danny Rose and Harry Winks remain sidelined.
Leicester are facing an injury crisis as they have just 16 fit senior players available for selection with Wes Morgan, Danny Drinkwater and Andy King joining the casualty list.
Robert Huth and Nampalys Mendy are also on the sidelines so youngsters Josh Knight and Elliot Moore have been drafted in to the squad.
Likely Line-Ups
Predicted Score
Leicester 1-2 Tottenham: The Foxes have an excellent home record since Shakespeare took over, winning all five games at the King Power, but I think their injury woes will catch up with them tonight. Spurs have been superb all season and despite the disappointment of missing out on the title, I still think they’ll have enough left in the tank to edge this one.
Betting Tips
We’ve been following one of the best football betting systems with reasonable success in recent months and we nailed our prediction of both teams to score and Tottenham to beat Man Utd 2-1 last weekend so hopefully we pick another couple of winners tonight. Spurs are the 7/10 favourites to win this game while both teams to score at 4/7 is a tempting bet. For even more value, I also like the look of Harry Kane to score first in a 2-1 Tottenham win at odds of 16/1.
