Transfer News: £44m Attacker Ready To Force Through Man Utd Move
The Metro are reporting that Ivan Perisic is ready to reject Inter Milan’s attempts to keep him and force through a potential £44m move to Manchester United
Managers are now pressing ahead with their plans for the summer transfer window so we’ll bring you all the latest news and gossip from around the globe. Today, Man Utd edge closer to signing Ivan Perisic…
The Metro are reporting that Ivan Perisic is ready to reject Inter Milan’s attempts to keep him and force through a potential £44m move to Manchester United this summer.
Perisic has been strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent weeks as Jose Mourinho looks to strengthen his squad ahead of United’s return to the Champions League next season.
The Metro are citing a report from the Mirror that claims Inter are willing to pay the Croatian international £85,000-a-week in order to snub United’s interest and stay at the San Siro.
However, the newspaper says Perisic will reject Inter’s advances and instead try to push through his move to United as he wants to play under Jose Mourinho in the Premier League.
A deal is yet to be agreed between the two clubs as the Metro claim that United have seen their opening £35m offer rejected by Inter with the Serie A giants holding out for a fee closer to £44m.
We’ll have to wait and see if an agreement can be found but I think Perisic would be an excellent addition to the United squad if they could sign him this summer.
The former Wolfsburg left-winger scored 11 goals and provided a further 12 assists in all competitions last season so he’d certainly add some much-needed creativity to the United squad.

However, if the Red Devils do sign the 28-year-old it will cast further doubt over the future of Anthony Martial amid speculation the French international could be heading for the exit door this summer.
