Managers are now pressing ahead with their plans for the summer transfer window so we’ll bring you all the latest news and gossip from around the globe. Today, Man Utd agree terms for Ivan Perisic….
Manchester United have finally agreed terms over a £40m fee for Ivan Perisic as they look to finalise a deal to sign the Inter Milan attacker this summer, according to The Sun.
Jose Mourinho has already spent over £110m on the signings of centre-back Victor Lindelof and striker Romelu Lukaku but the United boss is still looking to bring in more new recruits this summer.
Adding to his attacking options is a priority as United only registered 54 goals in the Premier League last season and Perisic has been touted as a prime target by the media in recent weeks.
The Telegraph reported over the weekend that Perisic is pushing for a move to Old Trafford and United were hopeful of getting a deal agreed before Inter head to China on their pre-season tour tomorrow.
It appears they are on course to meeting that deadline as The Sun claim that after lengthy negotiations with the Serie A giants United have finally agreed a fee worth £40m for the Croatian international.
The newspaper says personal terms worth £100,000-a-week have already been agreed with Perisic so the move should be wrapped-up swiftly now that a deal appears to have been agreed.
Inter are already working on finding a replacement as The Sun claims they are closing-in on a deal to sign Lazio forward Keita Balde after seeing a loan enquiry for Anthony Martial knocked back by United.
So it looks as though Mourinho is set to complete his third signing of the summer and I think Perisic will prove to be an excellent signing for United as he’s a versatile attacker who can play anywhere across the attacking positions.
