World Class Striker To Join Manchester United This Week
Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be a Manchester United player again by the end of the week with the striker expected to sign a new contract at Old Trafford
Managers are now pressing ahead with their plans for the final weeks of the summer transfer window so we’ll bring you all the latest news and gossip from around the globe. Today, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is set to rejoin Man Utd…
Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be a Manchester United player again by the end of the week with the striker expected to sign a new contract at Old Trafford after making a swift injury recovery, according to a report in the Mirror.
Ibrahimovic became a free agent after his one-year deal at United expired back in June and his future has been the subject of much speculation in recent months with a move to MLS mooted.
The 35-year-old had initially been expected to stay-on at Old Trafford for another season but United decided against taking up the option after Ibrahimovic suffered a serious knee ligament injury during their Europa League clash with Anderlecht in April.
The injury was initially expected to keep the Swedish legend on the sidelines until 2018 but Ibrahimovic has been making excellent progress in his recovery and is set to return to full fitness sooner than planned.
Even though his contract ran out in June, the striker has been using United’s training facilities to undergo his rehabilitation and as we can see from the video below, Ibrahimovic is clearly in excellent shape and has no concerns over the strength of his knee.
It seems his speedy recovery has convinced United to re-sign the striker as the Mirror are citing a report from ESPN FC that claims Ibrahimovic is set to sign a contract and become a Man Utd player again by the end of this week.

The news will be a real boost to Jose Mourinho as he’ll have another world class striker on his books and even though it’s not clear when Ibrahimovic will be available for selection yet, he’ll be a real asset when he does return to action.
He scored 28 goals in all competitions for United last season and was a huge influence in the dressing room so I’m sure he’ll be a welcome addition to the squad at Old Trafford.

Romelu Lukaku has made a superb start to his career at United and will probably continue to be the main striker but Ibrahimovic will give Mourinho another top class option during what’s going to be a long season.
