Manchester United will return to the Champions League group stages when they take on Basel at Old Trafford on Tuesday night.
Here is the team I think Jose Mourinho will pick for the game:
Goalkeeper: Mourinho has confirmed he will resist the temptation to rotate his goalkeepers in the Champions League this season after playing Sergio Romero throughout the Europa League last term. Therefore, David De Gea is set to continue between the sticks tomorrow.
Defence: There will be changes in defence as Eric Bailly and Phil Jones are both suspended so Mourinho has confirmed that Victor Lindelof and Chris Smalling will come in to the back four.
Daley Blind could also get a recall at left-back after being dropped for the draw at Stoke on Saturday meaning Matteo Darmian could make-way but Antonio Valencia should retain his place at right-back.
Midfield: Mourinho could be tempted to give Michael Carrick a run out but it will be difficult to leave Nemanja Matic out of the side following his excellent start to life at Old Trafford.
Paul Pogba should keep his place in midfield but Ander Herrera may make way with Juan Mata coming back in to the starting eleven.
Attack: Mata’s return on the right would see Henrikh Mkhitaryan play in a more central attacking position while Anthony Martial may get a recall on the left with Marcus Rashford dropping out despite scoring a fortunate goal at the weekend.
Romelu Lukaku has enjoyed an excellent start to his United career so the Belgian international is expected to continue up front against Basel and he’ll be desperate to add to his five goals so far this campaign.
Here is how we think United will line-up:
