Liverpool have opened talks with Gremio over a potential £15.7m deal to sign highly-rated attacker Luan at the end of the season, according to a report by TeamTalk.
Luan has been with Gremio since joining the club in 2013 following a short spell at Catanduvense and the forward has developed in to one of the hottest prospects in Brazilian football over the past few years.
The 24-year-old scored eight goals in 12 games during the 2017 Copa Libertadores and is pushing to be included in the Brazil squad for this summers World Cup Finals having recently won his first two caps.
The attacking midfielders potential has attracted interest from the Premier League with Liverpool among the clubs who’ve reportedly been keeping a close eye on his progress.
It looks like the Reds have now stepped-up their pursuit as TeamTalk are citing a report from Yahoo Sports that claims Liverpool have opened negotiations with Gremio about signing Luan in the summer.
The report suggests that Jurgen Klopp is keen to get an agreement in place for the player to move to Anfield at the end of the season with Liverpool ready to meet Luan’s £15.7m release clause.
Klopp is in the market for attacking reinforcements after seeing Philippe Coutinho join Barcelona in a £142m deal earlier this month and it seems Luan is firmly on his radar.

The South American has scored 55 goals in 210 games for Gremio and can play anywhere across the attacking positions so he would be a very useful addition for Liverpool if he adjusts to life in England.
