Liverpool & Man Utd Miss Out As Tottenham Agree Terms With Attacker Ahead Of £25m Move
Tottenham have beaten off competition from Liverpool and Manchester United after agreeing terms with PSG attacker Lucas Moura ahead of a £25m move
The January transfer window is in full swing so clubs are working hard trying to strengthen their squads for the second half of the season and put deals in place for the summer. Today, Spurs are closing-in on Lucas Moura…
Tottenham have beaten off competition from Liverpool and Manchester United after agreeing terms with PSG attacker Lucas Moura ahead of a £25m move, according to reports in France via the Daily Mail.
Moura is free to leave the Parc des Prince this month after failing to force his way in to Unai Emery’s side this season with the winger yet to start a Ligue 1 game this campaign.
The Brazilian international is behind the likes of Neymar, Julian Draxler, Kylian Mbappe and Angel Di Maria in the pecking order so he needs to leave in search of regular football ahead of the World Cup.
Moura’s situation alerted a number of Premier League clubs with the Daily Mail claiming that Liverpool, United and Spurs are among the teams who’ve been chasing his signature this month.
Jurgen Klopp is in the market for another attacker after selling Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona earlier this month and Moura would have offered competition to the likes of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.
Jose Mourinho recently secured the signature of Alexis Sanchez but it seems the United boss is still looking to further strengthen his attacking options and Moura was on his radar.
However, the Daily Mail are citing reports coming out of France that claim Tottenham have won the race for Moura’s signature after agreeing terms with the player over a four-year contract.
The newspaper says the 25-year-old was won over following talks with Mauricio Pochettino and was shown around Tottenham’s Hotspur Way training ground on Thursday.
PSG need to offload some players to balance the book to meet Financial Fair Play guidelines and the Daily Mail claim Spurs will now pay the Ligue 1 giants £25m to sign Moura before the close of the window.

Several other major news outlets are carrying this same story so it looks like Tottenham are set to wrap-up their first signing of the January window and I think Moura could prove to be an excellent signing for the north Londoners.
