Tottenham vs Newcastle | Confirmed Team News | How To Watch | Predicted Score
Here is our match preview ahead of Tottenham’s clash with Newcastle including confirmed line-ups, how to watch and predicted score.
Tottenham will be looking for a win to cement their place in the top four when Newcastle United arrive at Wembley this evening.
Spurs were on course to easily finish in the Champions League places but a slump in form has allowed Chelsea to close the gap and now the north Londoners are under pressure to get over the line.
Tottenham suffered a shock 1-0 defeat to relegated West Brom on Saturday and Chelsea moved to within just two points after beating Liverpool 1-0 at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
Liverpool are just one point ahead with one game remaining so Tottenham can leapfrog them in to third with a win tonight but another slip-up will open the door for Chelsea to snatch fourth place.
Antonio Conte’s men also play their game in hand tonight as they host Huddersfield at the Bridge so it’s going to be a pivotal evening in the race for Champions League qualification.
Newcastle arrive in the capital with very little left to play for as they sit comfortably in mid-table on 41 points having already secured their top flight status for another season.
Team news
Tottenham will be without Eric Dier as he’s ruled out through illness while Serge Aurier will also miss the game with a hamstring injury.
Mousa Dembele is once again missing with an ankle injury but Jan Vertonghen is fit to play despite picking up an ankle injury at the weekend.
Newcastle will continue to be without Islam Slimani as he remains suspended while Ciaran Clarke and Christian Atsu are out with knee injuries.
Predicted Score
Tottenham 2-0 Newcastle: The Geordies have a great recent record at Spurs having won their last three visits to north London but I think that run will come to an end this evening. Newcastle have nothing left to play for and their players looked to be on the beach already during the defeat at Watford on Saturday. I think Tottenham will ease to a routine 2-0 win.

How to watch
The game kicks off at 8pm this evening but unfortunately it’s not being broadcast on live TV. Fans can watch the match using a dodgy stream online but we can’t condone that sort of thing! Failing that, we’ll have all the goals up on the site shortly after full-time.
