Tottenham kept alive their Champions League hopes with Harry Kane scoring a late brace to secure a vital 2-1 victory over PSV Eindhoven at Wembley this evening.
It was a nightmare start for Spurs as PSV shocked the north Londoners with an early goal as Luke de Jong powered home a header from a second minute corner to give the Dutch champions the lead.
Both sides had chances to add to the scoreline during an exciting game but it was Tottenham who grabbed the equaliser in the 78h minute as substitute Fernando Llorente set-up Kane for the striker to fire home for 1-1.
PSV threatened to restore their lead but Paulo Gazzaniga did well to keep the score at 1-1 with a save from Malen and Tottenham snatched a late winner when Kane’s header found it’s way in to the net thanks to two deflections to make it 2-1 in the 89th minute.
The win means Tottenham are now on four points in Group B, three points behind Inter Milan and six adrift of Barcelona with two games left to play.
