Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon are undergoing their medicals in London this morning as Tottenham close-in on a stunning £90m double swoop
Transfer deadline day is here and managers are desperately trying to get those last minute deals over the line so we’ll bring you all the latest news and gossip from around the world. Here, Tottenham are set to sign two players for £90m….
Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon are undergoing their medicals in London this morning as Tottenham close-in on a stunning £90m double swoop, according to various reports.
Spurs have been in the market for a creative midfielder all summer amid on-going doubts surrounding the future of Christian Eriksen and Sky Sports claims they’ve finally agreed a deal to sign Lo Celso.
The report says Tottenham will pay Real Betis an initial £55m with the deal rising to £60m with add-ons and Lo Celso was left out of the Betis squad for their friendly against Las Palmas last night.
The midfielder flew-in to England late last night to finalise his move to White Hart Lane and the Telegraph journalist Jason Burt claims Lo Celso is now undergoing his medical with Tottenham this morning.
He tweeted:
Giovani Lo Celso is undergoing his medical at Tottenham Hotspur. Deal close to completion
As long as there are no late complication, the 23-year-old will complete his switch to Spurs before today’s 5pm deadline and he should be a hugely exciting signing having contributed 16 goals and 6 assists for Betis last season.
Tottenham are also closing-in on the signing of Sessegnon with Sky Sports claiming a deal was finally agreed with Fulham last night that will see Spurs pay £25m up front with a further £5m in add-ons.
Midfielder Josh Onomah will head in the opposite direction as part of the deal and the Daily Mail says Sessegnon has travelled to North London to undergo his medical with Tottenham this morning.
The 19-year-old is considered to be one of the most exciting young talents in British football and he could be viewed as a potential replacement for Danny Rose – who’s been strongly linked with a move this summer.
Rose was left out of the Tottenham pre-season tour to try and find a new club and he may move abroad at some point this month once Tottenham get the Sessegnon deal over the line today.
