Fans with West Ham United tickets might be feeling slightly happier right now, with the club taking aggressive moves to strengthen their squad in the summer transfer window.

Reports coming in from London indicate that the club is looking at three new deals to be finalised before the transfer window closes.

Rememore new hair

The club’s early sale of Mohammed Kudus, their star player, upset all the fans with West Ham tickets. The Spurs came in big and saw potential in the forward, and West Ham had to agree to the sale.

However, this sale had its positives, as it brought manager Graham Potter a better budget to pursue bigger names.

What’s Happening

El Hadji Malick Diouf arrived in East London from Slavia Prague in a deal worth an initial £19m.

West Ham followed that up by signing Diouf’s fellow full-back, Kyle Walker-Peters, on a free transfer.

It came amid a plethora of links to further targets from Harvey Elliott and Tyler Morton to James McAtee, Albian Hajdari, Matheus Fernandes and Mads Hermansen – to name but a few.

Despite needing to make up for lost time after a barren first seven weeks of an extended summer window, West Ham’s transfer activity went back into a bit of a lull.

The mood around the club, which had been lifted as a result of the two signings and some exciting links to further arrivals, nosedived again when it was revealed Potter doesn’t feel West Ham needs to sign a new striker.

There was further anger when Hammers News exclusively revealed West Ham expect to sign ageing, injury-prone striker Callum Wilson.

The 22-year-old was named Player of the Tournament as he led England Under-21s to Euro Championship glory.

However, there have been conflicting reports regarding whether the deal can be made possible given Liverpool’s demands.

A new goalkeeper is a must after experienced veteran Lukasz Fabianski was released by Potter last month.

And the vast majority of West Ham’s fans do not agree with Potter’s alleged stance that he does not need a new forward.

Now it seems the Hammers are ready to make an official bid. It is claimed that Leicester had long been prepared to accept it, having allowed Hermansen to undergo non-urgent surgery for an injury a month before the end of last season, to ensure he could be sold.

While the second big claim of the evening may not excite Hammers fans, talkSPORT has now reported Callum Wilson has agreed terms on a deal with West Ham.

This signing is good news for all those with West Ham United tickets, but the only detail missing is the duration of his contract.

Lucas Paqueta Verdict Coming Soon

All West Ham eyes have been on the Lucas Paqueta case after it emerged that a verdict is imminent.

And cryptic posts from the Brazilian star’s agency have suggested big news is coming.

It has long been claimed that Paqueta will be sold if cleared of spot-fixing.

It is worth remembering he was days away from being sold to Man City by West Ham when the allegations first emerged.

Whatever happens on that front, it seems the Hammers are preparing to spend some money.

As stunning scenes unfold, West Ham’s transfer window has reignited with three deals reportedly in the works.

Hammers News revealed last month that Danish goalkeeper Hermansen is West Ham’s prime goalkeeper target.

The report also revealed the Hammers were about to appoint Casper Ankergren as their new lead goalkeeper coach – and that he was pushing for a reunion with his former Brondby protege.

Lucas Paquetá’s spot-fixing trial has concluded, but the West Ham midfielder has been told he must wait four to eight weeks for a verdict.

The Brazil international faces a possible life ban after being charged by the Football Association with four counts of being deliberately booked to influence betting markets and two of failing to cooperate with its investigation.

The matter cost Paquetá an £80m transfer to Manchester City two years ago when the FA opened an investigation after receiving information regarding suspicious betting patterns on bookings he had received in four Premier League matches.

Lucas Paquetá playing for West Ham

Paquetá betting rules case is taking a physical and mental toll, reveals West Ham’s Potter. The fans with West Ham United tickets are relieved to see Paqueta back in a West Ham shirt, but are still worried if he has the mental capacity to get back to the top.

The FA charged Paquetá in May 2024 after a 10-month investigation, but the disciplinary proceedings have been beset by delays, to the frustration of the player and his club.

The independent commission presiding over the case began the hearing in March, but proceedings were adjourned after three weeks because lawyers on both sides had other engagements.

The hearing resumed last month.

West Ham are unhappy that the matter appears likely to drag on for at least another month, disrupting another transfer window and leaving their head coach, Graham Potter, uncertain about whether a key player will be part of his squad next season.

Paquetá has denied wrongdoing and has received the strong backing of his club. Sources who have given evidence to the commission and watched all of the proceedings have expressed confidence that the hearing has gone well from Paquetá’s point of view.

Still, there is concern at West Ham that the commission can determine guilt based on “the balance of probabilities” rather than needing to meet the criminal threshold of being convinced “beyond a reasonable doubt”.

Paquetá was charged after allegations that he was deliberately booked to earn money for family and friends in Brazil.

“I am shocked and upset that the FA has decided to charge me,” he said at the time, his only public comments on the case. “For nine months, I have cooperated with every step of their investigation and provided all the information I can. I deny the charges in their entirety and will fight with every breath to clear my name.”

The FA alleges that Paquetá “directly sought to influence … matches by intentionally seeking to receive a card from the referee, for the improper purpose of affecting the betting market for one or more persons to profit from betting”. The FA’s charge sheet is understood to include the recommendation of a life ban if he is found guilty.

West Ham United tickets for the new season are now available.
