“It Is True That Arsenal Are Interested In Me”

By on July 4, 2011

Odil Alimzhanovich Ahmedov has confirmed that Arsenal are interested in signing him and have been tracking his progress in recent months.

The Uzbekistan international plays for Pakhtakor Tashkent and has revealed the Gunners have sent scouts to watch him and stressed a move to North London would be a great achievement for him and his country:

“It is true that Arsenal are interested in me. Now I am watched by the English team’s scouts. They are watching me in every game.

If I move to Arsenal, it will be a success not only for me, but for the whole Uzbek football.” Ahmedov told RIA Novosti.

23-year-old Ahmedov is a tough tackling midfielder but it remains to be seen whether Arsene Wenger will follow up the interest with an offer.

We don’t want these average signings, Wenger! No players from lesser leagues, no overpriced youngsters, no players with weird foreheads… we need experience, proven Premier League quality and no, not Kevin Doyle or players from relegated or near relegated clubs.

Are you trying to anger me, Wenger?! Please just go! Stop destroying our club!

    WENGER OUT! NOW!!!!!

I agree. for too long now wenger has been a cheap skate and it is destroying the club. He needs to realise that respect is very important and there are not a lot of teams or players who respect arsenal anymore because of what he is doing. The one thing ive found hardest to understand is his refusal to buy a quality goalkeeper who can obviously give more assurance to our back line. He seems to have no understanding of urgency and he is making the fans very upset

crikey dan, you are limiting the players you want son. no overpriced youngsters that rules out neymar, no players from lesser leagues, so that rules out hazard, they have to have proven premier league quality, so that rules out falcao and benzema, no players from relegated clubs, so that rules out scott parker, no players from near relegated clubs, so that rules out samba and no players with weird foreheads, so after his recent trip to harley st, i guess that rules out wayne rooney!!!!

Wenger is not annoying you they media are.

We already have 26 players over 21 so until 2 players have deals in place away from the club we wont be signing anyone.

Haha! Yeah, I suppose I got a little rush of blood to my head! Still, I think you get what I mean, there are lesser leagues like Ligue 1, but then there are lesser leagues like League 1 from which we are signing a player for over £5m (Oxlade-Chamberlain). I don’t mind Wenger picking up a Kolo Touré-like bargain now and then, but his prerequiste that a player must come from the minnows of football is very risky considering how precarious our place is at the moment.

It’s time for arsane Wenger realise that those average players he is pointing at can’t solve arenals problems.Iam also still wondering how contracts of star players like captain, Nasri,Clichy happen to expire without taking action as early as possible. In fact it was a right decesion to let wenger go.
