TRANSFER NEWS: Chelsea Target Would “Love” Bridge Switch
Porto defender Rolando has claimed he would jump at the chance to re-join Andre Villa-Boas. The 25-year old would love a chance to work with AVB again and has welcomed a move to Stamford Bridge after reports this weekend linked him with a move to West London.
“Andre Villas-Boas has my number. If he is interested, he knows that I loved working with him,” Rolando said from Porto’s pre-season training camp in Germany.
“I have been in Porto for three years now and now could be a good time to leave, I just want to continue to win, whether here or somewhere else.
“There are clubs in Europe who Porto cannot compete with, financially, and if an offer comes in, we will see.”
Chelsea are unlikely to move for the Portuguese international whilst they boast four central defenders. But, Alex is the latest Blues player to be linked with a move away from the club with reports in Germany suggesting Hamburg are interested in the Brazilian.
The exit of Alex could pave way for Rolando who is obviously keen to rekindle his working relationship with Villa-Boas.
