Pedro Leon admits former Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti wanted to sign him and slams Jose Mourinho for the treatment he received last season.
The talented winger is on a season long loan to Getafe, after being told he doesn’t feature in Moruinho’s plans at the Bernabeu. The 24-year old revealed that Ancelotti wanted to sign him whilst he was in charge at the Blues, and was excited with the prospect of moving to London.
“Chelsea are one of the biggest clubs in Europe and of course I was excited about the possibility,” he told Cadena SER.
“The coach gave me his opinion and told me he would not let me go. He told me I would not play much in London.
“Honestly, my opinion is that Chelsea’s coach [then] was Carlo Ancelotti, not him.”
Leon only started five games for Madrid last season and was critical of the self proclaim “special one” for his ‘humiliating’ treatement under him.
“I felt humiliated at Madrid,” he said. “I am not aware of doing anything wrong. I did all I could, I was professional, I worked hard.
“I think that everyone who is under a contract should be treated the same way, but I do not have any reason to complain about the club.”
