Man Utd crashed out of the Carling Cup as Crystal Palace ran out shock 1-2 winners at Old Trafford. Palace took a shock lead when Darren Ambrose fired home a stunning 30-yard strike that gave Ben Amos no chance. United drew level only minutes later when Macheda made no mistake from the penalty spot. The visitors took the lead for the second time, Murray heading home from an Ambrose delivery. However, replays showed he was offside when the free-kick came in.
