Bolton vs Liverpool: Injury News, Likely Line-ups & Predicted Score
Liverpool play Bolton Wanderers at the Reebok Stadium in the late Saturday kick-off. Here is team news, likely line-ups and a predicted score for the game.
Liverpool play Bolton Wanderers at the Reebok Stadium in the late Saturday kick-off with Kenny Dalglish looking to take advantage of ‘Super Sunday’, which see’s four of the top five sides play each other.
Seven home draws have hampered Liverpool’s hopes of a top four finish but this weekend gives the Reds a chance to close the gap on those above them in the league and only a win will do for the Anfield faithful.
Injury News
Bolton have several players on the sidelines, with manager Owen Coyle having to do without the services of Alonso, Gardner, Mears, Lee, Holden and K. Davis. Jussi Jaaskelainen returns but may not be fit to start.
Kenny Dalglish’s only injury concern is Jay Spearing, who is likely to miss out after failing to recover from a hamstring strain. Lucas is out for the season so Henderson and Adam should continue in midfield.
Steven Gerrard will continue in the advanced central role after his return from injury, while star striker Luis Suarez continues to serve his eight-game ban. Dirk Kuyt and Andy Carroll will fight it out for the striking role on Saturday with both struggling for goals this season.
Likely Line-ups
Predicted Score
The Reebok is traditionally a difficult ground to go to but Bolton have been disappointing at home this season, losing 8 from 10 games so far. Liverpool have a reasonable away record, winning 5 from 10 games, so these stats suggest an away win. It won’t be straightforward for Kenny Dalglish’s men though, so i’m going for Bolton 1-2 Liverpool.
