Liverpool go in to the game off the back of a morale boosting victory over Blackburn on Monday, with Andy Carroll heading home an injury time winner to secure a 3-2 win. That goal may have persuaded Kenny Dalglish to keep him in the side, as the £35m man starts up front alongside Luis Suarez today.
Alex Doni was sent off against Rovers meaning third choice goalkeeper Brad Jones will start between the sticks today. Jose Enrique is only on the bench, so Jamie Carragher starts alongside Glen Johnson, Martin Skrtel and Daniel Agger at the back.
Here are the confirmed teams:
Liverpool Team
Jones; Johnson, Carragher, Skrtel, Agger; Spearing, Henderson, Gerrard; Downing, Suarez, Carroll.
SUBS: Gulacsi, Enrique, Maxi, Kuyt, Shelvey, Kelly, Bellamy.
