Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a club record £22m fee with Porto for midfielder Joao Moutinho, according to Sky Sports News.
The 25-year-old was one of the stars of this summers European championships after putting in a string of impressive displays for Portugal.
He has been strongly linked with a move to Spurs with new boss Andre Villas-Boas keen to link up with him again after bringing the midfielder to Porto from Sporting Lisbon in 2010.
Initial talks between Porto and Tottenham broke down, with the Portuguese outfit demanding close to £30m. However, negotiations continued throughout the week and Sky Sports claim an agreement has now been reached, believed to be worth a club record £22m.
The player is now expected to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical ahead of his move to White Hart Lane.
