Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley was in action for England as Roy Hodgson’s men started their 2014 World Cup qualifying campagin with a 5-0 win away at Moldova.
Cleverley was handed his first competitive start for his country and in the absence of United team-mate Wayne Rooney, the 23-year-old was given the N0.10 shirt and played in an advanced midfield role sitting just behind striker Jermaine Defoe.
Cleverley put in an excellent all-round display and drew praise for his performance from pundits and media, as well as England manager Roy Hodgson.
