Tottenham Hotspur welcome Italian giants Inter Milan to White Hart Lane on Thursday night for their Europa League last 16 clash. Here is a team news and injury update ahead of the game including the latest on Emmanuel Adebayor and Mousa Dembele.
The bad news is that Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas could be light up front with striker Adebayor looking a major doubt for the game after missing training on Wednesday morning. The Togo international was forced off on a stretcher during Sunday’s 2-1 win over Arsenal with a knee injury and the Mirror and reporting that he missed part’s of Tottenham’s training sessions this morning and remains a doubt to face Milan.
However, there is better news regarding the fitness of Dembele – who was also forced off against the Gunners after picking up an injury – with the midfielder passed fit for tomorrow’s game after taking part in full training this morning.
AVB’s only other injury concerns are Younes Kaboul, Sandro and Tom Huddlestone who all remain out with knee injuries. The Spurs boss is expected to make some changes from the side that beat Arsenal with Hugo Lloris certain to make way for Brad Friedel in goal, while Steven Caulkner is also likely to come in.
