Bale Becoming ‘Increasingly Frustrated’ After Madrid Table Record £85m Offer
Gareth Bale is becoming increasingly frustrated at the lack of movement over his future after Real Madrid tabled a record £85m offer for the Tottenham attacker.
With the summer transfer window now open, there is plenty of gossip doing the rounds in the newspapers so we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest transfer rumours. Today, Real Madrid have tabled a world record bid for Gareth Bale.
Gareth Bale is becoming increasingly frustrated at the lack of movement over his future after Real Madrid tabled a world record £85m offer for the Tottenham Hotspur attacker, according to Sky Sports News.
The Welshman’s future has come under intense scrutiny in recent weeks with the Spaniard’s making a public their desire to lure him to the Bernabeu this summer.
It now appears they’ve made a formal move with Sky Sports reporting that Madrid submitted a world record £85m bid last week, with the offer being a straight cash deal that didn’t include any players in exchange.
The report claims that Bale has been made aware of the mammoth offer and is becoming increasingly frustrated with the situation, with the bid believed to still be on the table as Tottenham are yet to officially respond.
Spurs have always maintained the 24-year-old would not be sold this summer and chairman Daniel Levy is currently away in Miami on holiday, so the potential deal is at a stalemate.
Bale and the rest of the Tottenham squad are now back from their pre-season tour of Asia and are set to return to training on Wednesday, so he may seek talks with manager Andre Villas-Boas sometime this week to clarify what’s going on.
The former Southampton trainee has so far kept his feelings to himself and he’s made no public declaration about wanting to leave. However, perhaps worryingly for Spurs fans, the player has also failed to make any public declaration that he wants to stay at White Hart Lane.
