England will be looking to get their World Cup campaign back on track when they take on Uruguay this evening. Here we’ve got the teams.
The Three Lions were slightly unfortunate to lose 2-1 to Italy on Friday night and Roy Hodgson was obviously content with his sides performance as he’s named an unchanged line-up for tonight’s crucial game.
The only change will come in how the players line-up, with Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney expected to start in the ‘hole’ behind Daniel Sturridge with Raheem Sterling moving over to the left.
The big news is that Liverpool hitman Luis Suarez starts in attack for Uruguay. The striker isn’t 100% fit following a knee injury but with his side losing their Group D opener to Costa Rica, they’ve decided to take a risk and play him from the off.
Here are the confirmed line-ups:
England:
Hart; Johnson, Jagielka, Cahill, Baines; Gerrard, Henderson; Sterling, Rooney, Welbeck; Sturridge
Uruguay:
Muslera; Giménez, Godín, Cáceres; Pereira Ríos, Lodeiro, González, Rodríguez; Suárez, Cavani
