Manchester United will be looking to make it five wins in a row when they take on Southampton at St Mary’s on Monday night. Here is the side I think Louis van Gaal will select:
Goalkeeper: David De Gea has been United’s best player this season so there’s no doubt he’ll continue between the sticks tomorrow night.
Defence: United have been boosted by the return of Jonny Evans, who’s back in the squad for the first time in nearly three months and van Gaal may decide to throw him straight back in to action. With Luke Shaw out injured, Marcos Rojo could therefore move to left-back with Chris Smalling and Antonio Valencia making up the rest of the back four. Rafael may also be in contention if he can prove his fitness but I suspect he won’t be deemed fit enough to start just yet.
Midfield: Daley Blind remains on the sidelines with a knee injury so Michael Carrick will continue in the holding role with Marouane Fellaini expected to keep his place after seemingly playing his way in to van Gaal’s plans in recent weeks. Angel Di Maria is still out with a hamstring strain so Ander Herrera could keep his place in midfield.
Attack: Radamel Falcao is pushing for a start having made substitute appearances in recent weeks but I think van Gaal will give him more time to regain full match fitness after several weeks out with a troublesome calf complaint. Wayne Rooney is back after missing the Stoke win with a minor knee knock so he should resume his partnership with Robin van Persie, while Juan Mata should be deployed in the ‘hole’ behind the front two.
Here is how I think United will line-up this weekend:

What do you think of the team and what eleven would you select for the game?

young deserves to start at left wing back Rojo in centeral defence & Falcao up front with Rooney. Rvp should only get the last 20 mins.

Falcao is not fit, Wilson is crocked, Rojo played LB for Argentina and is a better defender than young. Evans is fit and should go in as the senior CB.

Evans is our worst defender & Rojo has proved already that he is not up to the job as a left back in the prem. Rojo is a great centre back & teams up well with Smalling, Young has been doing a great job as cover for Shaw.If Falcao is still unfit then ok Rvp will start.

I think falcao deserves more time on the pitch in order for him to prove himself..man u fans need to witness what he is capable of before management pays a hefty fee for his purchase..man u 4 lyf…..

The performance of the combination of Smalling, Rojo (as center back), Valencia and Young (as right wing and left wing backs respectively) was exellent. The players knew what they were doing in the last two games and I don’t expect any change at the back for. We need to win tonight. Go Guys! Go!

I think the line up should be as usual, but the only changes that you people should make is let Van Persie be out of tonight game. Falcao suppose to start the game.

The back line is fine but Rooney and Wilson must pair upfront rvp to come from the bench.

young should maintain his position, rojo should still partner Smaling whiles Evans start from the bench. There is no need to change the back four that won our last three matches. GO GO MU

Evans is terrible. We need Rojo and Smalling to start as our centre backs. Ashley Young for left back and Falcao instead of Rvp because he is fit and has more pace

Mr LVG, you have just one change to make from the team that play the last match; Rooney in RVP out. Young and Valecia to mentain their position. Make no mistake, is a most win match. GOOD LUCK

Mr, LVG, I THINK WE HAVE BEEN DOING TREMENDOUS WELL SINCE LAST COUPLE OF WEEKS, AND I THINK THE WINING TEAM SHOULD CONTINUE THE RUN, EVANS IS A PANIC HE IS NOT TO PLAY AT ALL. AND I SUGGEST FACAO TO START IN PLACE OF RVP, LET HIM COME IN AS SUP.
