Premier League odds: Man City favourites ahead of Chelsea and Liverpool to retain title

Man City are the bookmakers favourites to retain the Premier League title ahead of Chelsea, Liverpool and Man Utd

The 2021/22 Premier League campaign is due to start in just a few weeks time and managers are working hard trying to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season. Bettors are now scouring the odds at Casino Gorilla and other bookmakers trying to find the best odds on who’ll be champions next May but all signs point to favourites Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola’s side ran away with the title race last season having finished 12 points clear of their nearest rivals and it’s going to take a monumental effort to stop them retaining the trophy next year. City already have arguably the best squad in the league and are expected to spend big on a couple of marquee signings this summer.

Guardiola needs a new striker after Sergio Aguero joined Barcelona and City are being strongly linked with Harry Kane – who wants to leave Tottenham – while Jack Grealish is also tipped to join from Aston Villa. Man City are currently the 4/6 favourites to win the title but those odds will shorten considerably if they sign Kane and Grealish. If you do end up betting on Man City, then make sure to look around for the best odds and check out YggdrasilCasino.com for trusted reviews of the best betting sites and casinos around.

Looking at City’s nearest rivals, Chelsea and Liverpool are expected to be the closest challengers with bookmakers making them the joint 5/1 second favourites for the title. Chelsea ended up finishing fourth last season but beat Man City in the Champions League final to win the European Cup so they’ll be looking to put in a sustained title challenge next season.

Thomas Tuchel has done a fantastic job at Stamford Bridge and owner Roman Abramovich is set to reward him by splashing out on a top class striker this summer. Erling Haaland is Chelsea’s main target and they would look excellent value at 5/1 to win the title if they end up signing the Norwegian hitman from Borussia Dortmund.

Liverpool were worthy Premier League winners in 2020 but they struggled with injuries last season and just scrapped into the top four on the final day of the campaign. However, Jurgen Klopp’s men should be a different proposition this season with the likes of Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez fit again so you wouldn’t bet again them pushing City and Chelsea all the way. Die-hard Liverpool fans will be tempted to back their side at 5/1, that’s for sure.

Perhaps surprisingly, Manchester United are only touted as fourth favourites for the title at odds of 8/1. United finished second last year and have signed Jadon Sancho while Raphael Varane is tipped to arrive from Real Madrid. So Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is building an excellent side at Old Trafford and he’s expected to bring-in further new signings before the end of the window so Man Utd look terrific value at 8/1 to win the title.

Outsiders such as Arsenal and Tottenham are priced at around 40/1 by the bookmakers but realistically it looks to be a four horse race for the Premier League title next season. It’s promising to be one of the most exciting campaigns in recent years.
