[Videos] 4 Players Missing As Liverpool Squad Trains Ahead Of FC Sion Clash

Four Liverpool players were absent as the squad were put through their final preparations ahead of tomorrow night’s Europa League clash with FC Sion.

The Liverpool squad have been undertaking their final preparations at their Melwood training base ahead of tomorrow night’s Europa League clash with FC Sion.

The Reds welcome the Swiss champions to Anfield on Thursday night looking to build on their 1-1 draw away at Bordeaux on matchday one two weeks ago.

However, they’ll have to do it without the services of four first team players as Christian Benteke, Jordan Henderson, Firmino and Dejan Lovren were all absent at training this morning.

Brendan Rodgers and his staff held an open training session at Melwood today and the quartet were all missing as they continue to nurse various injury problems that have kept them out in recent games.

Benteke is struggling with a hamstring injury, Firmino has a back problem, Lovren is going to be out for a month with ankle ligament damage while Henderson isn’t expect back until late November following surgery on a broken foot.

But the rest of the Liverpool squad, including Daniel Sturridge, were out on the training pitch putting in their final preparations ahead of the game tomorrow night.
